Liston vs. Clay – 1964 (938)
Cassius Clay, the brash, loud-mouthed “Louisville Lip,” not only claimed he would beat Sonny Liston for the title, but also knock him out by the eighth round. Not many people gave the 7-to-1 odds underdog Clay a chance, but he proved them wrong, and a legend was born. This poster is for the theater-released, filmed replay of the fight. Only minimal touchup to the folds was necessary. Very Fine+ on Linen.
