There have been many re-releases of Walt Disney’s first full-length animated feature since its initial release in 1937. The first re-release was distributed by RKO Pictures in 1944, for which this UK Quad design was used to promote it. It’s impossible not to feel enchanted when looking at this poster; the colourful depictions of the dwarfs joyfully (minus Grumpy, of course) playing instruments and dancing with Snow White surround the film title as her woodland creature friends look on. Despite being almost 80 years old, the colours are bright and saturated, making for a fantastic display piece.
Additional Information: Printed by Stafford & Co. Ltd. Netherfield, Nottingham, and London.
Condition: Very Good
Prior to restoration and linen backing, the poster was folded (as issued). Handling and edge wear with various pinholes, nicks and small tears (with some paper loss) around the border. There were also some pen marks in the bottom-right corner. The main image, however remained intact and displayed brilliantly. Now it just pings!
