2001: A Space Odyssey – Cinerama One Sheet Style C

After being commissioned by NASA to document the achievements of the space program, Robert McCall was the natural choice for MGM to design the advertising campaign for Stanley Kubrick’s acclaimed sci-fi masterpiece 2001: A Space Odyssey. While other posters for the film were printed in multiple versions, both with and without the Cinerama logo, this special Style C poster was exclusively created for theaters presenting the film in the Cinerama format. Since relatively few venues were equipped for Cinerama, the poster was distributed in very limited quantities, making it one of the scarcer and more sought-after collectibles from the film. This poster has touchup along the folds, pinholes in the corner, sections of the background airbrushed, and the linen has been trimmed to the border.
