This vintage travel poster advertising to “Fly to Jamaica by Clipper” for Pan American World Airways, was created by favored Pan Am artist Mark von Arenburg circa 1950. The vibrant illustration captures a scenic Jamaican coastline, with a local woman in traditional dress balancing a fruit basket on her head, lush tropical foliage, palm trees, and sailboats in the harbor, promoting air travel aboard Pan Am’s iconic “Flying Clippers” during the golden age of aviation. Linen-backed with minor touchup to faint surface scuffing, the poster now presents fantastically well.
