Through this partnership they are able to coordinate fares and services with Airlines around the world. In 2001, they acquired the well-known Transatlantic Airlines. They still operate today out of ten major hubs in the United States. Fred Ludekens (1900-1982) began his career as billboard painter before joining the Lord & Thomas advertising agency in 1931. Ludekens worked in a variety of media, and specialized in landscapes. He produced artwork and covers for all the major magazines of the time. He was a member of the founding faculty for the Famous Artists School, an art correspondence course founded by Norman Rockwell and other members of the New York Society of Illustrators.
