Godzilla (Eros, 1954). Folded, Fine/Very Fine. British Quad (30″ X 40″).
Director Ishiro Honda and special effects genius Eiji Tsuburaya bring to life one of the most terrifying monsters to ever hit movie theaters. Symbolizing the destruction wrought on Hiroshima and Nagasaki by the atomic bombs, their gargantuan reptile spawned one of the largest and longest-running film franchises of all time. After the film was reworked for Western audiences to include scenes with Raymond Burr, this King of the Kaijus became an international sensation and an icon of the monster genre beloved by countless fans worldwide. This brilliantly hued British quad is one of the best images from any science fiction film out there. Sure to please many a creature collector, the poster has slight edge and fold wear, pinpoint crossfold separations, mild creases, and minor tears. It also shows some smudging, unobtrusive stains, and a couple of instances of slight writing bleedthrough. There was a very small chip near the top right corner, however this has been address and now fully restored on linen and this poster would look fantastic on display in any collection and is very rare!
