Note that this is a “country of origin” poster for this Australian movie! Note that this movie had a very limited first release in 1979, and the one-sheets and daybills are a sort of purple color. When it became a big hit, a very limited number of orange posters were printed, and then “semi-gloss/matte” blue posters were printed, all in 1979. In 1981, the movie had a major re-release, and full-gloss blue posters were printed for that re-release. The daybill offered here is the ultra-rare 1979 purple daybill from the very first release of this classic movie.
Condition: good. The daybill has pinholes in the corners and some are enlarged due to rough removal. It has tiny dot stains scattered in some areas (there are not very many but the ones that are there are pretty noticeable when the daybill is displayed – see our image). This is the kind of poster that responds really well to restoration. It is likely that much or most of the discoloration can be removed chemically, and after proper restoration the highly desirable daybill will display well
