THE SAINT (T.V. SERIES, 1962-1969) – On Set Photo of Roger Moore in Volvo Car Limited Edition Print by Frank Herrmann

n 1962, photographer Frank Herrmann was invited in his capacity as a staff photographer for The Sunday Times on set to record the first episode of the Roger Moore action-adventure series The Saint, shot at Elstree Studios. The photo shows Moore in the classic white Volvo P1800 on the backlot at Elstree. Volvo supplied the series with five P1800s, with the car shown here, 71DXC, being the very first. Printed on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag 308gsm fine art paper, each print is embossed with the photographers’ stamp, signed and hand-numbered #5/5.
