This striking French Grande poster by Boris Grinsson captures one of the most unforgettable images of Monroe-standing over a subway grate as the breeze lifts her dress-an image that has become synonymous with her legacy. Tom Ewell watches in awe, just as audiences did then and still do today. Owning this large-format poster of Monroe at the peak of her fame is a true collector’s prize. If you think you’ve seen it before, that’s probably because this same image was used for a number of re-releases from the 1960s through 1980s, but this is the original-release poster. Prior to linen backing and minor restoration, there were some touchup (especially at the crossfolds), as well as creasing and tears. Now displays brilliantly.
