A View To A Kill – UK One-Sheet “Withdrawn” Poster
£895.00
“Has James Bond met his match?”. British One-Sheet for the Roger Moore James Bond film “A View To A Kill” (1985). This Brian Bysouth poster illustration was based on an initial design by Vic Fair and features Bond (Roger Moore) alongside his key protagonist May Day (Grace Jones). It is arguably the first time a Bond poster featured a female character in her own right and not merely as an eye-candy adornment to Bond. The use of a white tuxedo was considered inappropriate, with Bond lacking a ‘commanding’ presence, so this poster – although used initially (albeit sparingly) – was withdrawn, making surviving examples relatively scarce. This particular example is presented in superb original unfolded, rolled condition and displays very well. (Provenance: The Personal Collection of Bryan Fuller)
27″ x 40″ (69 x 102 cm)
Condition: Excellent
Unrestored, rolled (as issued). Displays to excellent effect with very minimal handling and age wear.
