This surreal science fiction masterpiece from Roger Vadim gets even more psychedelic as a Japanese poster. Vadim’s third wife, Jane Fonda, stars as the title character Barbarella, who brings her swinging sexual adventures to outer space in the year 40,000 A.D. Her mission is to find the scientist Durand Durand (Milo O’Shea) who has been totally corrupted by the Matmos. Along the way she encounters characters such as the winged Pygar (John Phillip Law) and the Great Tyrant (Anita Pallenberg). There may not be a “groovier” film of the 1960s. The poster has some minor corner and fold wear, with some slight colour fading.
