An epic tale of the conflict between Rome and Christianity, Ben-Hur was certainly one of the highest grossing films of the silent era and at a cost of $4 million, it was easily the most expensive silent film ever made. Directed by Fred Niblo and starring Ramon Novarro, Carmel Myers, May McAvoy, Betty Bronson, and Francis X. Bushman. Poster had airbrushed right and lower borders.
