Country of origin, British UK Quad poster for the debut Sean Connery James Bond film Dr. No (1962). The Mitchell Hooks poster illustration establishes Bond’s credentials as a suave but dangerous character, the sex appeal in the film being clearly evident. The famous “007” gun logo (so synonymous with the franchise even to the present day) designed by Joseph Caroff also appears for the first time on the poster. This example is presented conservation linen-backed with some minor sympathetic restoration applied. The bright yellow background and red lettering is often a weak point on this poster as it fades very easily, but happy to report that isn’t the case here and the poster presents to excellent effect.
