This is the elegant insert poster for the original roadshow release of Victor Fleming’s Gone With the Wind and features romantic portraits of stars Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh by artist Armando Seguso.

Backed on paper, airbrush was applied to the borders and touchup to the original folds, tears, creases, and a spot of paper loss between the first two words of the title. The poster now presents beautifully.

This epic Civil War romance overcame serious production problems to win 10 Oscars (including Best Picture, Best Director for Victor Fleming, and Best Supporting Actress for Hattie McDaniel, the first African American to win an Academy Award) and become the highest-grossing film in history (adjusted for inflation).
