James Bond – The Man with the Golden Gun – German Advance Banner (30″ x 12″)
£3,995.00
We have only seen a few posters created for this film’s German market using the design here. They took the Bond logo created by David Carroff of United Artists, who, with a stroke of genius, added the barrel of the gun plus the trigger to the end of 007. Yet this German poster produced the gun in gold! This is a scarce commodity!
The folded poster has one pinhole in each corner and some minor cross-fold creases and stress lines. This is the larger of the banners produced.
Roger Moore’s second shot at James Bond excitingly faced him off against Christopher Lee as slick contract killer Scaramanga. Heavily influenced by the popularity of martial arts movies, it features much kung-fu fighting but is probably best remembered for its audacious “corkscrew” car jump.
