Peter Pan (RKO, 1953). One Sheet (27″ X 41″).
Nearly 20 years in the making, Walt Disney’s version of J. M. Barrie’s Peter Pan finally hit movie screens in 1953 and met with resounding success. The story of the boy who wouldn’t grow up, his escapades in Neverland, his encounters with the Darling family and the villainous Captain Hook, are beautifully rendered by Disney’s famed “Nine Old Men,” the animators who were responsible for the distinctive, lush Disney animation style. Always a collector favorite, this unused one sheet only shows a slight bit of tanning and the typical image ghosting from the poster’s production. Folded, Very Fine.
