The Day the Earth Stood Still, the classic 1951 Robert Wise science fiction (sci-fi) alien-contact thriller (“From out of space…. A warning and an ultimatum!”; “Strange power from another planet menaces the Earth!”; from the story by Harry Bates) starring Michael Rennie (as Klaatu), Patricia Neal, Hugh Marlowe, Sam Jaffe, Billy Gray, Frances Bavier, and Lock Martin (as Gort the Robot)
Note that this British quad is incredibly rare. It has very different coloring from the U.S. posters, and it has a completely different image. It is one of the most difficult 1950s horror/sci-fi posters to obtain (and it is many times more rare than any of the U.S. posters from the same title).
Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and very minor wear on the folds. It had a tear near the middle. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays great.
