Thunderball (United Artists, 1965). Rolled, Very Fine+. Japanese B2 (20″ X 29″).
S.P.E.C.T.R.E returns to menace James Bond in the superspy’s fourth, and perhaps best, installment. The nefarious organization has hijacked a NATO nuclear bomber and threatens to detonate the explosives unless its ransom is met. Bond must stop mastermind Emilio Largo (Adolfo Celi) as well as fend off the attention of three ladies (Claudine Auger as a mistress, Martine Beswick as a fellow spy, and Luciana Paluzzi as an enemy agent), escape a deadly pool of sharks, and resist the overpriced cocktails of the Bahamas. A scarce and unrestored poster with bright color and a clean overall appearance. The poster has very subtle edge wear and one or two soft creases within the interior.
